Favies!
Hey there my lovely make up junkies!,
So this post is going to be my favorite products. These are products I repurchase over and over and that I will never be without. Given this is absolutely not everything I own (shamefully) these are the things I use pretty much every single day. Sooo, lets get started!
- Face products (premake up)
I have tried sooo many face wipes and moisturizers, but these are the 2 I have stuck with for over a year now. Cetaphil moisturizing lotion can be found at pretty much everywhere, even walmart. It runs around $7 (don't quote me on the price!) and lasts a really long time. The face wipes are equate (walmart) brand, super cheap. I used to use the neutrogena ones but they're so expensive for a face wipe. These wipes will usually come in a 2-pack for around $5-6 :)
2. Face products (make up)
These are probably my favs. Nothing makes your make up look better than a flawless face! One of the biggest things I can recommend is face primer! This will keep your make up on longer, make it go on smoother, and last longer throughout the day. The one I'm currently using is Primed & Poreless by Too Faced. This is a trial version, but I can honestly say I will be purchasing the full size when I run out of this. It runs for $30 at Ulta or Sephora (eeek I know, expensive! but worth it.)
The best drugstore foundation I have found is the Revlon Colorstay. I use the one for oily/combination skin in the color "nude". I have used pretty much every drugstore brand foundation and this is my holy grail. It runs around $10, which I know is pretty pricey for a drugstore product, but I promise its worth it! Next is MAC Pro Long Wear foundation, this is high end and more on the pricey side going for $30. I know, I know that's expensive for make up for a lot of people, but if your willing to shell out the cash for it, you'll love it. Its is full coverage (as is the colorstay) and will leave your face flawless. If you want a more natural foundation I wouldn't pick this, even when barely applied it covers A LOT.

Now, onto concealers, if your anything like me concealer is your best friend. I was cursed with dark undereye circles and anything that will cover them up makes me so happy. The first product is NYX HD photogenic conceal, you can get this at ulta for about $5. This will definitely cover up any dark circles or problem areas (zits/breakouts) that you might have. The next one is Maybelline Instant Age Rewind, this will brighten up the eye area, cover up anything that needs to be covered and it wont settle into any lines around your eyes. It costs $7 and can be found at any drugstore that sells make up :)
Last, but not DEFINITELY not least, setting powder! I know a lot of people don't like to use powders over their foundation, I was one of those people a long time ago, but trust me it makes a world of difference once you find the right one! I don't have a picture of it but a good drugstore one is Stay Matte by Rimmel it runs for about $4 (great price!), but the absolute best I've ever used ( I can't say enough good things about this )is MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural, it also runs for $30, but it will last you a long time! The biggest tip I can give with any powder is less is more! Never cake on powder over your foundation you just want to basically "dust" the powder over the areas you get oily to set the foundation into your skin. The Mineralized skin finish is amazing for that. On days I'm in a hurry or just don't want a face full of make up, I'll throw on concealer and the skin finish by itself and it looks like I actually took the time to do my make up :)
3. Blush & Bronzer
Now, both of these can be tricky products. Bronzer can be your best friend or give you a muddy face. You don't wanna look like you just stepped off the Jersey Shore. I've also seen a lot of people over due the blush... Always use a light hand with these products. You don't wanna look like Snooki or Bozo! I don't really use drugstore blush, mainly because I don't use many different colors of blush, but I do like Covergirl blushes for anyone who doesn't wanna pay much! My 2 favorite blushes right now are both by MAC, the colors are Mocha (pinkish brown) and Gingerly (brownish ginger). They are kind of similar, but Mocha is more on the pink side and I tend to use it more in Summer. Ok, Bronzers.I don't recommend a bronzer with a long of shimmer or glitter..it gives your face extra shine when you really don't need it. Matte bronzer is the way to go. I've yet to find a good drugstore one so sorry about that! My 2 favorites are Too Faced bronzer in Chocolate Solei and Hula bronzer by Benefit; Both can be found at Ulta or Sephora and run for $30. They're both matte and look good on pretty much any skin color! I highly recommend either of them!
4. Eyebrows
One of the most common questions I get "how do you do your eyebrows". I'll post a detailed explanation of that in a future post, but these are the products I use to achieve them. An angled brush is a must have, you can get these pretty much anywhere. I've seen them at target and walmart. I use a brown gel liner to fill them in, the one I have is ELF cream eyeliner in Brown (not sure of the actual color name, the paper rubbed off) I bought it at Target. Its $3 (super cheap!) and works really well. Now, if your blonde and have light eye brows I wouldn't recommend this for you. Another good option, is Maybellines eyebrow pencils...but always use a light hand, not color them in like a color book, light thin strokes work best :) You can also use concealer to clean up around the brow, I don't always do it, but it makes them look more polished.
5. Eyeshadow
Oh, eyeshadow how I love thee! haha I have too much eyeshadow I'll be the first to admit. I don't really use a lot of drugstore eyeshadow, the color payoff isn't that great and they don't wear for a long time so I'm just not a fan. I'm sure there are some good ones but I haven't found any yet. The good thing is if you can find one good palette even if its expensive then that's all you need, and it will last a long time in turn saving you money :) My 2 favorite brands are Urban Decay & MAC, both are pricey, both are extremely worth it! In the picture below I have the original Naked palette, Urban Decay Roller girl palette, 2 single urban decay shadows, and 2 single MAC shadows. Also, the only drugstore portion of this section, Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze. In the top right, that is Urban Decay Primer Potion, this keeps your eye shadow on and makes the colors much brighter, I won't wear eye shadow without it, it runs for $19. Now back to the eye shadow---
-Urban Decay Naked Palette $50 ( I know crazy expensive) You can pretty much do any look you want with this palette, its very versatile. Smokey eye, natural eye, sparkly, anything. If you don't know what to buy when it comes to eye shadow, I highly recommend this. Its worth the money.
-Roller Girl Palette $30 I do believe this was limited edition so I'm not sure if its in stores anymore. This has a lot of sparkly vibrant colors, which are my favs :)

- Urban Decay single shadows, $18, in Flash(purple) & Maui Wowie. I got these mainly because of the pretty colors. Maui wowie is very glittery, so be careful! Glitter is the herpes of makeup..you can never get rid of it lol.
-MAC single shadows $15 in Satin Taupe & Copperplate. These are great starter shades! Satin Taupe is a color I personally think everyone should have. You can wear it alone or make a very pretty brown smokey eye with this, Copperplate is a greyish brown color and is matte, perfect for blending and adding color to your crease! :)
-Maybelline Color Tattoo $7 in Bad to the Bronze. These last until you take them off, no joke! They have plenty of colors to choose from, Im just a big fan of brown bronzey colors. :)

6. Mascara & Eyeliner
Quite Possibly my most favorite cosmetic available! I will NOT leave the house without at least mascara on, I just can't do it! lol Now, here's a shocker all of my mascaras are from the drugstore, high end mascaras usually suck in my opinion lol. I always use an eye lash curler, I feel that it gets all those little baby eye lashes to stand at attention! I also use two mascaras at once, I know that sounds a little intense but its not. I use one for volume and one for more volume and length! My favorites are Covergirl Lash Blast $6 & L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black $5, both extremely affordable, both extremely amazing!
And last is eyeliner, this is the only eyeliner I use. I don't usually wear it anywhere but on my top lid. I've tried pencil liner, gel liner, but liquid liner is my absolute favorite. I won't use anything else. A lot of liquid liner just isn't dark enough for me, I want my liner to be pitch black the best one I've found is L'Oreal Linear Intense $7. It's amazing, I promise!
Annnnd there you have it! My most favorite products, I'm sure I could have added more but this is jist of it. I hope you enjoyed! If you have any questions or would like to see any looks or tutorials with any of these products mentions please let me know, until next time Stay pretty make up junkies ;)
